The last time we talked about Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTCMKTS:MJNA) here on Street Register, we were commenting on the opportunity opened up for the company after learning that the World Anti-Doping Agency (formed by the International Olympic Committee to monitor drug use in sports worldwide) announced that it would remove cannabidiol (CBD) from its list of banned substances.
The company has published multiple PRs this week, one of which directly relates to the WADA ruling, and the opening up of the huge CBD market demographics of both amateur and professional athletes around the world.
Through its Kannaway subsidiary, Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTCMKTS:MJNA) has introduced Kannaway® Pure Gold, a full-spectrum hemp oil that provides all the benefits of hemp without the presence of THC. Kannaway Pure Gold is ideal for anyone who is subject to drug tests, including active and retired military, competing athletes, first-responders, or anyone concerned about THC in their daily CBD supplement. Starting with the same high-quality hemp oil used in all Kannaway products, new Kannaway Pure Gold Liquid is filtered down to include non-existent levels of THC to create the highest quality possible cannabinoid-dense CBD oil product.
“We are very glad to be able to expand our customer base by offering the Kannaway Pure Gold high-quality CBD oil to those who want to incorporate CBD into their lives without the presence of THC,” said Kannaway CEO Blake Schroeder. “This full-spectrum CBD oil liquid is easy to add to what you’re already consuming and has an abundance of benefits.” (Source: PR Newswire)
The thing about MJNA, as it relates to the release of this product and the WADA ruling on CBD, is that the company should be positioned to capture a large segment of the athlete-CBD-user demographic. The company is recognized as the first publicly traded marijuana company in the United States, and has built itself a trustworthy name. With MJNA guaranteeing its new CBD to be THC-free, it takes away the potentially hazardous guessing game for athletes looking to enjoy the benefits of CBD without the risk of introducing THC into their systems. THC will undoubtedly remain on the WADA list of banned substances, and obtaining CBD from an unreliable source carries the risk of testing positive for THC. It could jeopardize an athlete’s entire career, so it seems logical that trustworthy companies like MJNA should benefit the most from the rule change.
In other news from MJNA’s Kannaway, has also introduced Kannaway® SuperGreens, a brand new way to take advantage of hemp’s nutritional benefits. Kannaway® SuperGreens is formulated with more than 40 different superfood and nutrient dense ingredients, Kannaway SuperGreens makes it easier to get the suggested daily intake of vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, and other nutrients by using products such as wheat, barley, and alfalfa grasses, spinach, broccoli, kale, acai, carrot, beet, turmeric, flax and chia seeds, hemp flour, and Kannaway’s exclusive Bi-Bong® herbal extracts.
